Why does BUZZ Boutique feature over 400 pieces of Eileen Fisher clothing?
Eileen Fisher uses eco-friendly organic fibers that help keep clean air, clean water and a healthy environment for workers and wildlife. Over 25% of Eileen Fisher items are manufactured in factories in the U.S. - more than any other top designer.
Eileen Fisher uses natural, recycled and high-tech fibers throughout their collections, created without hazardous chemicals–for color without compromise. Eileen Fisher uses Certified Dyeing, thus pure fibers that either skip the dyes or rely on natural ingredients such as petals, leaves and bark. Eileen Fisher believes in Fair Trade and Human Rights for their workers. That means Higher-Livable wages and investments in local communities – not business as usual.
Eileen Fisher works to support the supply chain of farms, factories and faces behind their clothing. Our Eileen Fisher items may be used but we do our utmost to make sure any flaws are repaired. All items are cleaned, steamed and ready for resale. If you find a flaw please bring it to our attention and we will tend to it right away.
I fell in love with fabrics and fibers at about age eight while at the side of my Grandma, Frances Royer, a truly gifted sewist. Thus began one of my life’s greatest passions. I toyed with the idea of becoming a fashion designer however I chose a degree in political science graduating from Mount Vernon College of George Washington University.
After serving two years in Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa I moved to Montana and began a 30-year career as a non-profit executive. Throughout these years I also did alterations and tailoring professionally where I had the distinct pleasure of training and working with Frank Polich a 50-year veteran tailor of men’s suits here in Helena.
In 2015 I realized a lifelong dream of opening a carefully curated women’s upscale resale clothing shop and sewing studio. My two sisters jumped at the chance to travel from Kansas City to help me set-up shop. And they have ‘migrated’ back each subsequent August to help me update the look of the shop, fill our racks with beautiful items as well as assist me with our alterations and tailoring.
